Cancellation Policy

At Baringo Safaris .Co, we understand that sometimes your plans may change unexpectedly. We will do our best to accommodate changes or cancellations to your booking. However, please note that our tours are subject to certain cancellation fees and policies.

We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself in the event of unforeseen circumstances that may require you to cancel your booking.

Please review our cancellation policy below to ensure you understand our terms and obligations.

  1. Cancellation by Baringo Safaris.Co: In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your tour, we will provide a full refund or the option to reschedule your tour for a later date. We will do our best to provide you with as much notice as possible in the event of a cancellation.
  2. Cancellation by the Customer: If you need to cancel your tour for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
    • Cancellation made more than 30 days before the tour date: Full refund, minus any non-refundable deposits.
    • Cancellation made between 15 and 30 days before the tour date: 50% refund, minus any non-refundable deposits.
    • Cancellation made less than 15 days before the tour date: No refund will be given.
  3. No-shows: If you fail to show up for your tour without prior notification, no refund will be given.

Please note that any non-refundable deposits will be specified at the time of booking. In some cases, we may be able to reschedule your tour for a later date, subject to availability.

Refund Limitations

In the event that a customer requests a full refund, Baringo Safaris Co. will make every effort to accommodate such requests, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy. However, it is important to note that full refunds may not always be feasible, particularly in cases where expenses have already been incurred by Baringo Safaris Co. on behalf of the customer, including but not limited to activities, reservations, permits, and other logistical arrangements.

Expense Deductions

In cases where a full refund is not possible due to prior expenses, any applicable deductions from the refund amount will be made to cover these expenses. Such deductions may include, but are not limited to, costs incurred for activities, transportation, permits, accommodation, and administrative fees. Baringo Safaris Co. will provide a detailed breakdown of these deductions to the customer upon request.

Alternative Compensation

If a full refund is not feasible, Baringo Safaris Co. may, at its discretion, offer alternative compensation options to the customer. These alternatives may include rescheduling the safari, providing credit for future bookings, or offering substitute services of equal or comparable value. The acceptance of such alternatives shall be at the discretion of the customer.

Good Faith Efforts

Baringo Safaris Co. is committed to resolving refund requests in a fair and transparent manner. We will make reasonable efforts to minimize deductions and explore alternative compensation options to the best of our ability. However, customers are encouraged to communicate their refund requests as early as possible to maximize the likelihood of a favorable resolution.

Force Majeure

Baringo Safaris Co. shall not be held liable for circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or other force majeure events that may impact the availability or feasibility of refunds. In such cases, Baringo Safaris Co. will make every reasonable effort to assist customers within the limits of the law and prevailing conditions.

Indemnification

Customers and third parties agree to indemnify and hold Baringo Safaris Co. harmless from any claims, losses, expenses, or damages resulting from the inability to provide a full refund due to expenses incurred.
